WORSHIP

No matter who you are,

or where you are on your spiritual journey,

you are welcome here!

Our Practices

At each service, we follow a pattern based on traditions that go back to the earliest centuries of Christianity. We are a “liturgical” church, meaning our services don’t change greatly from week to week during a season of the year. This gives worship a rhythm that becomes comforting and familiar.

We celebrate the Holy Eucharist every Sunday, and the service has two major parts: the Liturgy of the Word (three readings from Scripture, a sermon, and recitation of the Nicene Creed) and the Liturgy of the Table (Holy Communion). When you arrive, you will receive a bulletin that provides everything you need to participate in the service. Episcopalians are friendly people! If you get mixed up about what’s where, just ask one of your neighbors in the pew. They’ll help! And if you don’t know whether to stand, kneel or sit, just watch the people around you and do what they do. There are times during the service when some people are kneeling while others stand. You can do whichever makes you most comfortable.

During Holy Communion, all of God's children are welcome at God's table. When you come to the altar rail, If you’d prefer to receive a blessing from the priest, simply cross your arms over your chest.

Worship Opportunities

In addition to the traditional worship service on Sunday mornings, we offer several different other forms of worship.
