St. Francis is part of The Episcopal Church, which is a group of churches located in the United States, and around the world. Locally, we are part of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, and globally, we are part of the Anglican Communion.
Our belief is centered on following the teachings of Jesus Christ, who we believe saved the world through his life, death, and resurrection. As members of the Episcopal Church, we are committed to inclusivity, striving to demonstrate God’s love for every human being. In our church, both women and men serve as bishops, priests, and deacons, and laypeople and clergy collaborate as leaders at all levels. We believe that leadership is a gift from God, accessible to all people in our church, regardless of sexual identity or orientation.
We firmly believe that God loves everyone without exception. At St. Francis, we affirm that every individual is created in the image of God. We demonstrate the boundless love of our Creator by embracing all individuals, irrespective of race, gender, age, culture, ethnic background, sexual orientation, economic circumstances, family structure, or differences in ability. We encourage everyone to share their gifts and talents in worship, service, study, and leadership. Everyone is welcome in our community.
