Holy Week and Easter

Holy-Week-2015-POST.jpg

Greetings everyone, I hope this message finds you well. I know that not all of you follow the daily offices or the Sunday services that we broadcast on Facebook Live or Zoom but many do. For those who don't,  I  hope that from time to time you log in to see what is going on. in addition to daily offices of Morning (9:15 am) and Evening (7 pm) prayer, we have a short bible study on Thursdays after Morning Prayer. Virtual lunch is offered on MWF at noon. And Holy Eucharist is on FaceBook Live on Sundays at 10:30 am.

We will have Holy Week beginning this Sunday with the passion. In reality, whether we are there in the building, or not, Holy Week and Easter happens. Remember what the Grinch said about Christmas?

"And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags."

Holy Week and Easter remembrance, putting the story together, will have to manifest itself in our hearts this year. In truth, that is where His Incarnation, His Ministry, His Passion, His Crucifixion, His Resurrection, and His Ascension must grow and must lodge, in our hearts, if this story of our faith is to make a difference in our lives.

I and a few others will attempt, using technology, to help make Holy Week and Easter, and Eastertide meaningful to the community. We will, by the reminder of word and sacrament of the "Big" Christian story, help make space for your own stories. Peace be with you all. Ben+
